- Who's Wrinkle?

Like A Wrinkle In Time, Wrinkle is a time traveling duck, she travels thru time and space.. but mostly forward! 

She was hatched on September 9, 2020.

-Why did you start making videos with her? 

Like any parents, we want to document her adventure but also show people how smart ducks can be naturally, they're a lot smarter than people think! 

Also, people always seem very happy when they met Wrinkle in person, so we want to translate that joy through the internet. 

-What inspired her to take on the marathon? Did she do any training?

We were just meeting some friends around the neighborhood to watch marathon together, since it’s such an exciting event for New Yorkers. And then we figure why not make cute little video of her running, since she loves to run.

As far as training, she likes to follow us around, and she doesn't need a leash, so sometimes she can walk up to 15- 20 blocks!
We have also done a lot of fairs, events & parades with her, so in the Bronx Halloween Parade, she walked the whole 1.4 mile! I think those helped her with her marathon skills. 

-How much of the marathon did the duck actually complete?
Like 30-50 feet? We ran with her till she stopped, and we gave her some water and she took a break, we did like 3 times throughout the hour.

-What was the toughest thing about making the video?
It was relatively causal and easy actually, Wrinkle's very used to big crowds and exciting events, so we just decided to let her run for a bit, and everyone's happy, no one give us any trouble.
But the toughest part would be how to protect the footages and make sure Wrinkle got the recognition as she deserves.  

- Wrinkle has already achieved so much - what other challenges lie ahead? What is next?
